Women’s Flower Growing Group

Every Tuesday we run a free, drop-in flower growing group for women. This easy-going group is an opportunity to meet new people, connect to nature and improve your mental health - all while learning a thing or two about gardening and growing cut flowers.

No gardening experience is needed and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Gardening tasks are led by the seasons and might include things like seed sowing, potting on, planting out, taking cuttings, weeding, bed prep, turning the compost and harvesting. There might also be the odd site maintenance job like laying woodchip paths.

The group runs 10am-2pm. We will provide tea and biscuits but please bring some lunch for yourself. During the garden’s more productive months, we hope to send you home with a bunch of flowers, a handful of seeds or a plant looking for a new home.

If you would like to join the group or need more information, please contact Olivia - hello@bowdenspringsfarm.co.uk
